FM for raising IT exemption limit, talks against burdening salaried, middle class

Kisan Vikas Patra relaunched

The government relaunched the once popular small savings scheme - the Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP).
"In the last 2-3 years, savings rate in country has declined from a record high of 36.8 per cent to below 30 per cent. It is, therefore, necessary to encourage people to save more" Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said during the launch of the revamped ....... Read more...........

7th CPC Memorandum by Comptroller & Auditor General of India

These proposals, while showing the pay scale and grade pay recommended by the 6th Central Pay Commission for each individual cadre, propound a pay scale and grade pay which is deemed to be more appropriate for that cadre given its role, duties and responsibilities. It is recommended that the 7th Central Pay Commission consider this deemed pay scale and grade pay as the base for making its recommendations in respect of these cadres.  .......

Railway : Old pension scheme applicable to those in temporary status prior to 01.01.2004 and regularized later

Railway board has issued an order clarifying that substitutes who got temporary status prior to 01.01.2004 but regularized/absorbed after 01.01.2004 and after regularization, if the date of appointment is prior to 01.01.2004, in terms of provision of Board's letter No.E(NG)ll/90/SB/Master Circular dated 29.01.1991(M.C. No.20/91) and para 6 of letter No.E(NG)11/2008/SB/SR115 dated 17.09.2010, will be covered under Old Pension Scheme.  ......

Scientists, not ministers, to represent India at science, tech conferences

India hereafter will be represented by eminent scientists and not a minister from the Narendra Modi government at conferences on science and technology. Railway Board has announced 78 days PL Bonus. Rs. 8975/- to be disbursed

The railway board has issued order granting Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) equivalent to 78 [Seventy Eight] days wages without any ceiling on wages for eligibility for the financial year 2013-14 to all eligible non-gazetted Railway employees. The wage for calculation will be ceiled to Rs. 3500 pm as per existing .........

Revamped IT website launched

The income tax (I-T) department has revamped its web site which brings multiple services related to the IT under same site. Taxpayers so far had to go to different official websites of the I-T department for these matters. “An updated version of the website— www.incometaxindia.gov.in, will act as the ‘single window´ for all activities and online services offered by the I-T department.”...... Fin Min issues OM on the grant of Non-Productivity Linked Bonus

The Ministry of Finance have issued the office memorandum granting the non-productivity linked bonus (Ad-hoc bonus) for the year 2012-13. The Central Government employees in Groups ‘C’ and ‘D’ and all non-gazetted employees in Group ‘B’, who are not covered by any Productivity Linked Bonus Scheme will be eligible for the ad-hoc bonus. The calculation ceiling for payment of ad-hoc Bonus under these orders shall continue to be monthly emoluments of Rs. 3500/-. ......

BPMS writes to PM & Labour Min demanding removal of ceiling of Rs. 3500/- for bonus

The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh have submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Labour & Employment, demanding the removal of ceiling of Rs. 3500/- under Bonus Act. It says Central Government employees are getting the bonus @ Rs. 3500/- per mensem under the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965 or Productivity Linked Bonus whereas none of them is drawing wages less than Rs. 7000/- per mensem excluding other allowances which has been causing discontentment amongst the employees.

Govt. moves for DA hike to 107%. Unions press for merger

Confederation calls for nationwide agitation on demands including DA merger and Interim relief

The National Sectt. of the Confederaton met at New Delhi on 11.08.2014 to consider the follow up action required in the matter of some of the pressing issues on which Confederation had organized series of agitational programmes prior to the commencement of the Election process of the 16thLok Sabha.
