AI-CPI IW for March at 239, up by 1 point. 6% DA hike likely from July 2014

All-India Consumer Price Index Numbers For Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for March, 2014 has been announced by the Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment. The index now stands at 239, an increase by one point over the last month. Women employees entitled to two years uninterrupted CCL : SC ruling

The Supreme Court held that a woman employee of central government can get uninterrupted leave for two years for child care, which also includes needs like examination and sickness. 7th CPC inviting Staff on Deputation Basis

Seventh pay commission is inviting staff on deputation basis for the temporary posts that have been created for a period of 18 months from the date of constitution of the Commission or till closure of the Commission whichever is earlier. In addition to the pay scales, the posts will carry all other usual allowances as admissible in terms of orders and instructions in force on the subject as issued by the Government of India from time to time. FinMin rejects I-T exemption limit hike to Rs 3 lakh

The Finance Ministry has rejected the recommendation of the Parliamentary Standing Committee headed by former Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha on raising the income tax exemption limit to Rs 3 lakh. The recommendation was made as part of the Committee’s report on the Direct Tax Code (DTC). Adjusting the slabs will cause tax revenue losses to the tune of Rs 60,000 crore a year to the exchequer, the Ministry has said. ....... Read more.....

All-India Consumer Price Index Numbers For Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for February, 2014 has been announced and now stands at 238, an increase by one point over the last month. The increase comes after a downward trend in the last two months. In November 2013 the index was 243, which came down by 4 points in December to 239 and further by two points in January 2014 to reach 237 .... Read more....
