Confederation release on Staff Side meeting with the 7th CPC

New simplified IT forms notified. Last date for filing extended till Aug 31

The finance ministry on Sunday came out with a new three-page income tax return (ITR) forms, in a corrective measure after facing strong criticism from public. The new forms no longer require mandatory disclosure of foreign trips and dormant bank accounts as mandated by the previous form. For the Armed Forces Personnel/Family Pensioners for meeting expenditure on day to day medical expenses that do not require hospitalization unless the individual had opted for OPD treatment in armed Forces Hospitals/ M.I. Rooms, the amount of FMA has been enhanced from Rs. 300/- to Rs. 500/-. The other conditions for grant of FMA shall continue to be in force.
