The union government said on Thursday that 10% of positions in the Home and Defense ministries will be reserved for 'Agniveers.'
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced on Saturday that 10% of the postings in the Indian Coast Guard will be reserved for Agniveers after meeting with Army Chief General Manoj Pandey, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chowdhary. The Ministry of Defence's 16 state-owned firms is in the same boat.
